List important tasks on a priority basis and execute them.
Biography of Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam: Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam said,’Hey Ali. Never be late for three tasks. Namaz O Aqra when the time is due, inheritance in it when Janaza is present and kufu (equality of bride and groom) do not delay marriage. It is understood from the guidance of Rasulullah sallallahu alaihi wa sallam in the hadith of 909 that performing important work on time is one of the instructions of Islam.
Stephen R. Covey wrote, ‘All successful people in the world have this habit. They do the work first. Failures do not have this habit. Observing the behavior of unsuccessful people – they don’t do the first thing first, they don’t consider the first thing as important. The author has highlighted some points in the process of mastering this habit. For example, he emphasized time management in formulating and implementing work lists. It means-
Ensuring proper use of time.
Life of Rasulullah Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam: People will be asked about time before Allah on the Day of Resurrection. Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam said:
‘There are two blessings about which most people are deluded. That is – health and leisure.’* Rasulullah sallallahu alaihi wa sallam was asked,
O Messenger of God! Who is the best man? He said, “He who has had ayuli and his deeds are good” Here is another important point made by Stephen R. Covey, ‘Not being able to say ‘no’ to seemingly less important things in life means saying ‘no’ to more important things.’ It means-
Learning to say no to things that are less important than things that are more important.
Biography of Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam: Narrated by Abu Huraira Radiyallahu Anhu, Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam said, “Whoever lives from vain deeds and words, his Islam is complete and beautiful.”
There is an allusion to saying ‘no’.
The first three practices are individualistic. The next four habits are other-centered. Therefore, before starting the discussion of these practices, the author discusses six issues for creating interdependence and relationships and developing human relations in a discussion called ‘Janvijay’. They are-
Six things-
1. Try to understand the person: behave as you would expect from others; Do the same with him. Biography of Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam: Rasulullah
May the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him said:
For the
‘As long as any of you chooses for himself; He will not be able to like it for others, until then he will not be a true believer. ‘
2. Paying attention to the little things means showing compassion and practicing courtesy. Because rudeness, contempt and disrespect creates a deep void in the relationship. So they should be avoided.
Biography of Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam: Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam said,’He who comforts the childless mother: She will be clothed in a special cloak in Paradise.’ Showing cordial courtesy in meeting is a noble virtue in the eyes of Islam. Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said:
‘Every good deed is sadaka. An important good deed is to meet another brother with a smile. ‘684 Rasulullah may Allah bless him and grant him peace
Sallam also said,
‘Those whom I hate most and those who will be farthest from Me on the Day of Resurrection are the brazen, the arrogant, the shameless and the arrogant.’ Rasulullah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said:
‘Muslim is brother of Muslim; Do not oppress, abuse, and belittle or belittle each other. ‘
3. Keeping promises is deposit and breaking promises is withdrawing. The Life of Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam: Keeping Promises is the Identity of a Believer. Allah said,’And when you make a covenant with Allah, fulfill it. Do not break your solemn vows.’ Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam was very careful about keeping his promises. He was impatient to fulfill any promise or promise to anyone.
4. Clarify expectations.
Biography of Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam: Aisha Radiyallahu Anha said,
‘Rasulullah sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam used to speak clearly. Everyone listening would be able to understand it.
5. Personal purity. Don’t be two-faced.
Life of Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam: Allah Ta’ala said,
“He who purifies himself is successful and he who pollutes himself is unsuccessful.”
‘The worst people are two-faced people. He approaches it in one form, he approaches it in another form.
6. If you make a mistake, sincerely apologize. Life of Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam said:
‘O people! Repent to Allah, I repent to Allah a hundred times a day.’
